BIG Update!!!!!

Ican't believe how horrible I have been on keeping up with our blog. We have had a MAJOR change in our family and its been amazing! Logan came home from work in March and said he was ready for a change, a BIG change. Logan called Arnold Machinery in Salt Lake and before we knew it he had the job and we were making a move back to Utah!! We found a house to rent in Tooele so Logan does not have such a long commute to and from work. I'm only a few miles from my parents and extended family. Its been wonderful having my husband home by 5 or 5:30 every night and being able to spend family time together and also to sit down and eat dinner as a family every night!
I had to go in at the end of June for my 2nd hernia surgery and it was amazing having so much help with the kids and the surgery. My mom has kept the kids so I can rest but sends my little brother over to help me with anything I may need and he has been WONDERFUL!!!!
I've also gotten to know my older brothers girlfriend and her little girl (my niece) alot more and I am so happy they are apart of our family!! Haylee is a little sweetheart and such a cute personality. Jamie is so good to my brother and I have never seen him so happy :)
Hopefully I can find a little more time to keep up on this blog for all our extended family that is not close to us anymore, wish me luck, lol!!

I have not kept up on this or my business blog very well and I apologize for any of you that like to come and see whats going on in our lives!! The last post I did, Loren turned 3 and now she is 2 months shy of being 4 and I'm about to go crazy just thinking about it. I will just give you all a quick update of whats happened the last 10 months and put lots of pictures on so you can get a feel for it, lol.
I was really enjoying the summer and doing my apprenticeship at TNT Hair & Nail Salon and I was building up an amazing cliental. On Oct 1, 2010 we got in a car accident and it really bummed up my shoulder causing me to give up the apprenticeship. Everything is going pretty good since the accident, I've just really enjoyed being home with the kids again.
Loren started preschool in September and is always asking if its time to go to school!! She has made lots of friends, can say the "Pledge of Alligence" all by herself and her vocabulary has expanded big time!
Jaxon is growing like a weed and wishes he could go to school with his sister. Since Jaxon can't go to school, after we drop Loren off, Jaxon and I go to the store on a "little date" and get a drink and doughnut!! He is a major flirt and mommas boy, I won't lie, I LOVE it!!!

Logan is still working just as hard as always and trying not to complain to much about it, lol. He is an amazing husband and father and couldn't ask for anything more.

We had so much fun for Lorens birthday party this year, but I am so glad it is over!!!! We did our normal party for her, we had some awesome marinated chicken with salads, chips and drinks. A really good friend of ours, Nicole, made Lorens birthday cake this year and it was so cute. Nicole is leaving this fall for Culanary School and I think she is going to do awesome! Loren got very spoiled for her birthday and didn't know what to start playing with first. When I was a little girl, my dad built a barbie house for me and this year we gave it to Loren for her birthday with LOTS of barbies and accessories. Thank You everyone that was able to come celebrate this special day with us and Loren! I couldn't narrow it down on the pictures so just bare with me, please!!!!!

I know this is a few weeks late but life is kind of out of control right now! I can't believe that my little girl is 3!!!! Loren has brought so much joy into our lives, I can't even explain all of my feelings for this little girl. In the last few weeks it seems like she has grown up soooo much and I start getting kind of sad! The things she says and the things she does is amazing. I love it when she comes running up to me and says "your my mom"!!! Yes Loren, I am your mom and I hope one day I will be your best friend! The sparkle this little girl has in her eye brightens up my days so much. In the next few months she will be starting preschool and dance and as happy as I am for these events to take place I am also so sad that she is growing up sooo fast. MAJOR UPDATE!!!!!!

Holy cow, it has been way to long since I have posted anything on here! I have a friend that keeps telling me I need to update, the truth is, I'm having a hard time finding the time!!!!!!! We've been gone so much and so many things have been going on in our lives.
In January I went skiing for my very first time ever! My boss up at Jermans took the employees to snowbird for the weekend and paid for everything, which was very awesome and very nice! The very last day and the very last run, I was doing awesome until I hit some ice and the wind came up behind me, it all went, or shall I say, I went down hill from there! I ended up dislocating my right knee. I've recovered really well from that accident, thank goodness!!!! Just a few weeks after that happend, Loren got really sick! She would throw up one night and than be fine, she would go a few days and than throw up again and be fine. She never ran a fever or any other flu signs. This went on for about a week, I finally took her to the doctor and he diagnosed her with abdominal migraines!!! I still don't completely believe that thats what she had cause the following Monday she woke up and the right side of her face was swollen. I took her back to the doctor and he said she had a gum infection that had spread to her cheek. I got her into a dentist and he said she had a abcess tooth! The really crappy thing is he wouldn't do anything about it till that Friday. Tuesday morning when she woke up after being up all night, her face was almost double the size!! I called a pediatric dentist in Salt Lake and he told us to bring her in right away!!!! So off we went for a LONG 4 hour car ride, but very thankful to have family in Tooele to help out with whatever we needed. The dentist ended up just pulling Lorens tooth out, but by the next day the swelling was basically gone! Finally I thought we were on the road to recovery and everything would get back to normal, well think again! The following week Loren got a really bad cough that would make her throw up! I took her to the doctor and she was on the verge of pneummonia!!!! SERIOUSLY?? What else could go wrong in this family?? Oh I know, I ended up loosing my waitressing job because I had missed so much with Loren! I was pretty upset and pissed over that whole deal but at least I know that I was in the right place. I was with my daughter and family, right where I belong! So things started getting back to normal and everything seemed to be going really good. Well the night before April Fools, Jaxon fell and burned both hands (the right was the worse) on our wood burning stove. Off to the ER we go, the wrapped both hands and we've had to go to physical therapy every day! I had to take Loren to Tooele for a dentist appointment and while we were there his fingers started to swell up. I took Jaxon into U of U burn center and they started him on antibiotic. He is doing much better now and is even started using his right hand a little! Everything seems to finally be coming to an end and hopefully we stay on the right road to stay healthy cause right now I am SICK of DOCTORS!!!!!!!!
On a little brighter note..... I FINALLY started my apprenticeship for cosmetology and it is AMAZING!!!!!! I have learned so much and feel really confident in myself! I'm 54 hours away from being able to work on people and I can't wait! I am so excited!

Allergies are NO fun!!!!!!

We took Jaxon to the allergist today and have discovered the worse but now hope for the best! They did a scratch test on Jaxon and discovered he is very allergic to eggs, pretty allergic to dairy and needs to stay away from peanuts. He is so allergic to eggs that they gave us an epipen just incase and trust me I wasn't to excited when I heard the word "epipen". Anyways we are going to have him tested in 5-6 months and see where he stands on everything. The doctor was absolutely wonderful and there is a lot of hope that he will grow out of it within the next few years. But for the time being we will be watching his every little move to make sure he doesn't eat anything that he shouldn't!

Jaxons Birthday Parties

Sorry this post is a little late. I have been very busy and when I finally get time to do something I just want to relax and be with the kids. We went to Tooele for Thanksgiving and it was a lot of fun. While we were there we had a birthday party for Jaxon at Carls Jr. We had a lot of family come and also are good friends Hope and Tom. Jaxon got very spoiled and we had a lot of fun. When we got back from Tooele we had another little bday party for him at our house. We got him cake with fudge and I knew he would be a major mess. Jaxon dove into the cake and had a blast, he started playing peek-a-boo so all you could see was his blue eyes. I can't believe my baby boy is 1 and walking all over the place. He has such a cute personality and makes us all laugh.

I can't believe my baby boy will be one in a week! He has grown so fast its crazy. The other day he took 5 steps and keeps trying. He has started playing peek-a-boo and has the cutest personality. He is such a wonderful additon to our family and I love how him and Loren interact with eachother (most of the time), LOL. I can't believe how big this kid is getting! I took him to the doctor the other day and he was over 17 lbs. He had gained over a pound and grew over an inch and half in a month!!!! He only weighs about 3 lbs less than his sister, lol. He is doing very good and is becoming more of a handful. He is now starting to stand all on his own and about to walk. I can't believe he is almost a year old, where has the time gone. We have to take him to an allergist in Dec because we truely believe he is either allergic or extremly sensitive to any dairy products!!! He breaks out in hives even if he has only had a half of slice of cheese. So for the next month in a half we just have to read all the labels and really watch what we give him until we can get him tested. Even though its going to be hard in the beginning, at least there are substiutions and he is still a very happy and healthy baby boy!!!!

I had some pictures on my computer that I thought were cute enough to share!!! Also Logan bought me a Chiuaua the other day on our way back from Tooele and she is soooo.... cute! I named her Tinker Bell and she is very smart. I told Logan we shouldn't go to Tooele anymore cause in March when we went to Tooele we came home with a black lab mix. I've always wanted a little lap dog and finally got one!!

Halloween

We had fun this year for Halloween. The wednesday before we went to the high school for their Halloween Highway. On Thursday we left and went to Tooele and was so excited to get away and have a little vacation! On Friday, Logan and I decided to dress up and go to a costume party with our friends Hope and Tom. Our costumes were very last minute but we got some good laughs. Hope dressed up as a nurse and Tom was a pregnant lady named Nancy. As for the pictures you can see what Logan and I was! We took my little brother Nate with us cause he wasn't going to be able to go trick or treating the next night because he had a football game in Park City and it was a late one. We had a lot of fun at the party and they do pumpkin bowling which looked like a lot of fun. After the party we decided to go to Texas Roadhouse and have dinner. It was the funniest thing because Tom was basically the only one dressed up anymore. He got so many looks and there was a waiter that wouldn't even look at him, it was hilarious!!!!! When we dropped Hope and Tom off we took Nate back to Tooele and went to the Haunted House. Nate had never been to one before and really wanted to go, keep in mind this kid is almost 9. Before we even entered he could hear screams coming out and was already tearing up. We put him between Logan and I and he never let go of our hands. Nate said he about peed his pants and his teeth was still chattering when we got out of there. I think Tooele has done an excellent job on the Haunted Hospital!!! On Saturday we went to Salt Lake and did a few things and than went to Park City to watch a little bit of Nates game. It was sooooo.... cold up there that we didn't stay long because of the kids. We than headed back to Tooele and did a little bit of Trick or Treating and ended our night!! Hope everyone else enjoyed Halloween as much as we did!!!

I left Elko about 3 weeks ago, just me and the kids, and spent a week in Tooele. I got there on a friday night and we went to a football game with my mom and little brother. My nephew plays for Tooele High and my mom trys to support him as much as possible. Loren put on my little brothers football uniform on and wouldn't take it off so she went to the game with it on!

Logan and his dad came late sunday night and we left early sunday morning and headed to Eastern Colorado! From Tooele it is about a 13 hour trip and thats barely stopping. We stopped in Rawlins, WY to have lunch and than went to Laramie, WY and went and seen where Logan went to college. We made it to Ft. Collins, CO and got their licenses to dove hunt and stopped to eat at an AWESOME pizza place called BOJO'S, and finally our destination, Cope, CO!!! We left Tooele at 7:30 am and got to Cope by 10:30 pm so all in all we made good time. Logans grandma lives in Cope and they have a little get together every dove hunting season. His dads uncle Jerry and his girlfriend Linda was there and Jerry's 2 boys Mike and Daryl was there, as well as Aunt Betty. h

So Jaxon seems to be doing things super fast!! He started crawling pretty early and sitting and now just the other day he pulled himself up to the couch and stood there for a good 5-10 minutes!! I must remind you that this little guy is only 7 months old. I have a very good feeling that he will be walking before he is 1. I wonder if he is doing all of this so soon so that he can bug his sister, LOL.

Camping

Last weekend we got together with a bunch of friends from Elko and Salt Lake and went camping and boating. We had a really good time and so did the kids. We got there really late friday night and sat up camp and than we just kind of hung saturday morning waiting for everybody to show up. After we had lunch we took the kids to the lake and let them play in the water and take turns going on the boat. We dutched oven for our first time ever ( I love dutch oven but have never actually cooked it) and overall it turned out pretty good. Later that night when all the kids were asleep and we were getting ready to roast marshmallows I went in our tent to lay Jaxon down and all of a sudden the wind kicked up really really bad and all the walls on the tent were blown in. Logan didn't have the stakes for our tent and I felt the tent start moving, it was kind of scary. I didn't know what to do except lay next to my kids and hold on for a possible ride. The wind finally calmed down for a minute and I got the kids put in the truck and we packed up camp cause there was lightening all around us and the wind kicked up really bad again. After everything we had a really good time!!

Between the holiday and all the weddings we have this month, we have been busy! Our business is really taking off and we love every moment of it! I've been loving my new little camera and have been taking tonz of random pictures of the kids so I thought why I finally had a minute I would share them with everyone!! We had a pretty good 4th of July this year the only down part is that Logan had to work but he was home in time for the fireworks! We just stayed in Spring Creek for the parade, instead of fighting everybody in town. My cousin Jen, her husband Dustin and 2 boys, Devon and Korbin was out visiting, so they hung out with us for a little while which was a lot of fun. Loren was on one of her "off" days and threw too many fits to count! Lets just say that by the end of the day, I called my mom and apologized for anything I ever did to her or any pain I had caused her because I am definately getting my payback, LOL. The fireworks were pretty good and both Loren and Jaxon loved them

7 Months

Jaxon is 7 months old today and all over the place!! He started army crawling all over the place just before he was 6 months old and while we were in Utah he pulled himself up to a laundry basket! Well a couple days ago, he crawled over to our fireplace and got up on to the mantel!! I was kind of shocked but not to suprised, LOL. I have a feeling if he can get his balance better than he will be walking before he is 1!

A Very Long Post

On the 17th of June Logan and I celecrated our 3rd wedding anniversary! I can't believe its been 3 years. So much has happened and changed our lives. We have 2 beautiful children and a house and a dog and cat and so many other things! Logan had to work the day of our anniversary so I suprised him when he got home, the kids were at the in-laws with Aunt Jilyn, I made salmon, steaks, baked potatos, salad, and crossiants! Yes, it was a very big dinner, especially to eat at 8:30 at night, LOL, we also had strawberry cheesecake for dessert.

On the 19th we headed for Utah! We wanted to do something fun for our anniversary and our birthdays (mine is the 7th and Logans is the 19th). My mom was going to watch the kids but she hasn't been feeling very good so we decided to do something as a family and we included my little brother Nate. We ended up taking the kids to Jungle Jim's Playland (we met our friends Matt and Andrya and their kids) and than we went to the Myan for lunch/dinner! It was a very long day but we had lots and lots of fun! My little brother Nate loved the bumper cars and Loren loved just about everything even though the first time she rode anything she held on for dear life, LOL. Logan won over 1,000 tickets, so needless to say, we came home with a lot of JUNK!!!!!

After such a long day in Salt Lake we were suppose to go to the Demolition Derby with our friends Hope and Tom and also my cousins Kim and J.P. but it had rained all day that they cancelled the derby and rescheduled it for the next week, we were way disappointed! Since it got cancelled we went up to Kim and JPs house and hung out with a bunch of JPs family and ate pizza and played games, it was a lot of fun. The next day was Fathers Day and the guys were suppose to go golfing but they called and cancelled that because of the stupid rain, so we just hung out and my mom made a delicious bbq ribs dinner. My mom is a very good cook and I crave her ribs quite often. The guys ended up going golfing on Monday and than on Tuesday we decided to take Loren and Jaxon to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. She loves looking at fish and she really enjoyed the Aquarium. We seen sharks, Octupus, a blue frog and she even touched a sting ray. After the aquariun we went and ate at Sizzler and than went to the mall (we went to Fashion Place, South Town, and Valley Fair, I was really tired!). We ended up buying me a Cricut, and I am so excited!!!!!! We are going to use it for our business more than anything and I can't wait to start doing things with it! Anyways that was our big week in Utah, it was a lot of fun, but I am glad to be home.

Say Cookie, No Quacker

Loren use to say "cookie" so clear and than all of a sudden she started saying "quacker"! I have worked and worked with her on saying "cookie" but she just is being a little stink. I think she is just funny now cause she will yell "quacker" back in my face and everytime she says it I laugh or anybody around laughs! She talks pretty good and catches alot of things said but this word we are having a struggle with. Make sure your volume is turned up so you can hear the little stink!

Today I felt like doing something fun, so I decided to take the kids pictures since I didn't get Jaxon done at 6 months and Loren done at 2, I thought it was about time to get them done!! I really wish I had a better set up at my house or even a studio and a lot more props, but we make due with what we got! Just a little update

WOW! Its been about a month since I posted anything. At the beginning of this month we took Loren in for her 2 year check up and Jaxon in for his 6 month. Loren is 19.13 lbs and 31" tall! Jaxon is 15 lbs and 25" tall! Yes, thats right everybody, Jaxon is almost as big as his sister! We just celebrated my "25th" birthday and it was a lot of fun! My mother n law threw a little BBQ and Lisa (friend of the family) made me a homemade carrot cake and it was delicious!!!! Today I finally decided to video Jaxon's army crawl.... thats right, Jaxon turned 6 months and starting doing the army crawl everywhere!!!!!!!!!!! Now that he can get to whatever he wants, Loren and him fight a lot more, since he can get to all of her toys, LOL.I just really hope that the walking don't come early! I can't believe Loren is 2!

Today my little girl turns 2! I can't believe how fast time has went by. On May 13, 2006 was Mothers Day, I had been feeling some contractions but nothing to much. I stayed home from church and just relaxed. Later that day I went to my mother n laws for dinner (Logan was working). After dinner we decided to make brownies, I could hardly stand there, my back and feet hurt so much and my feet were way swolen. When I went home that night I was really tired and went straight to bed. I got up around 1 am to go to the bathroom and at that time I was feeling really good. Well about 2 am my water broke, in bed! I woke Logan up and told him I thought my water broke, but maybe I just peed the bed cause nothing else was happening. I got up and the second I stood up there was another gush of water! Being my first pregnancy and all I wasn't sure about all this so I called my aunt Joann cause my mom wasn't answering. I got to the hospital about 4:30, whats funny is we only live a matter of maybe 10 minutes away. I started having contractions soon after. It really sucked cause my contractions were stacking and so I was getting no relief in between. As one would hit really hard and barely start coming down another one would hit really hard. Loren finally arrived at 1:13 pm weighing 7 lbs 1 oz and 19 1/2 inch long! Logan, my mom and Penny was in there for the delivery and everything went great. Loren has brought so much joy to my life! I could never really explain how much I love her and she means to me. Even though she is hard headed and stubborn and can throw the biggest temper I have ever seen (and I've seen a lot), she is the biggest sweetheart and has such a soft heart. Loren loves her little brother more than I could have imagined and can't wait till her dad gets home at night. Happy Birthday Loren, we love you very much!

In my previous post I mentioned how we did pictures of the kids for Penny for Mothers Day. Well I had caught some cute pictures of my kids and I just had to share them. Also Loren climbed in the bassanet the other day and sat in there forever and watched cartoons so I had to capture and share those pictures as well. She is such a little HAM!!!! The other day in the car I told her "no" and she rolled her eyes at me and said "jeez". She is so cute but such a little stink at the same time. Jaxon is just a growing, I think he will be an early crawler just so he can get to his sister and get whatever she has, LOL. Hope you all enjoy these pictures, I know I enjoy every single one!

Mothers Day

I can't believe it was my 2nd Mother's Day, with 2 beautiful children! 2 years ago Loren was born the day after Mother's Day, it was crazy. I had a good day, we woke up and went to church and than had a little nap. Later that day we went to Penny's house (Logan's mom) for some Papa Murphys Pizza. I was a little bummed cause Logan had to work and I really would have liked to be with my mom, of course. But I made the best of what I had. Logan made me a homemade card and it meant more than anything to me. This year Brynn (logan's sister) and I decided to take pictures of the kids and give them to Penny for mothers day. This is what we came up with. It was a very long day and its not easy working with a 2 yr old, 7 and 5 month old.

Easter Egg Hunt

When we got back from Tooele, we had an easter egg hunt at Grandpa Derons and Grandma Pennys. It was lots of fun and we got lots of pictures! The eggs had candy in them and one was a Warhead so I gave it to Loren and of course she didn't like it, and the mean mom I am gave Jaxon a taste and he had some pretty good faces as well!

A week in Tooele

The Saturday before Easter I decided to load the kids up and head to Tooele and spend Easter with my family. Logan had to work all week, including Easter, and I wanted to go so I could spend my moms birthday with her anyways. Before we left Saturday, we went to the local grocery store with Grandma Penny and Aunt Jilyn to do an Easter egg hunt with Loren. She had a lot of fun and caught on really quick. Penny had pictures of that I will post those later. After the hunt we went inside the store and seen the Easter Bunny and Bubbles the Clown. We finally got on our way to Tooele and got there about 4:30. Nate had been anxiously waiting for us so we could color easter eggs. I stripped Loren completely naked, except for a diaper, and let her have a free for all with the color and eggs. Before my mom filled the containers with water, sneaky little Loren grabbed the blue tablet and stuck it in her mouth. Yes, there for a minute my daughter had a BLUE mouth!

Sunday morning Loren and Nate hunted easter eggs and looked through their baskets full of candy! That afternoon we went over to my Grandma Ruths house for dinner with the whole family including Great Grandma Smith! It was a very yummy and wonderful dinner with AWESOME dessert!

All in all I had a great trip and so did the kids. I got to have lunch with some awesome friends, Hope, Stephanie and Marcasa, my mom even came along for that! Got to see lots of family and friends. I got my hair cut and colored, I'll post pictures of that later!!!

We went to Tooele last weekend for my cousin Kim & JP's son Bridgers blessing. We got to Tooele pretty early saturday and went and watched my brother Nates flag football game. When we got to the game, Logan had to go to the restroom so he dropped me and the kids off and left. There was a park so we hung out there cause of Loren. This lady and her daughter walked up with 3 or 4 puppies that were free. I told them NO, I wasn't interested, not with such a long drive to Nevada and a fairly new baby and also potty training my daughter. A few minutes went by and I asked the mother what kind they were, she told me black lab and blue healer. Those are pretty good dogs but NO THANK YOU!!!! Logan got back and I went to sit in the truck with Jaxon so I could feed him. When I was done and walked back to the park, Logan says "I want one and that black one is a female and very cute". Well I didn't put my foot down very well cause we brought home a new little pup and named her Oreo! I will try to post pictures soon. We also went to the car show in Salt Lake and we took Nate with us. We had fun looking at all the awesome old and new cars and motorcycles. Nate got to meet Rico off of Hannah Montana, he was so excited, I will also try to post pictures of that. Sunday was the baby blessing and boy was it a full house!!! The Hansens took up the majority of the chapel and Kim & JP's house, LOL. But it was such a fun and great time! The kids got spoiled at Grandma and Grandpa Putnams house and also at Great Grandma and Grandpa Smiths house. We got to stop and see my friend Steph and her new baby that was only 1 week old. His name is Tyson and he is sooooo... cute and tiny! I just wish we could have stayed in Tooele a few more days.

Well Check-up

Today we took Jaxon in for his well check-up and shots! He is getting so big, I can't believe it. I have to laugh cause he is 4 months and weighs 13 lbs and Loren is 23 months and weighs 18.3 lbs. He is going to catch up to her in no time!! He did very well with his shots, I wish I could be tough like him, LOL! He is eating cereal and baby food and is a little pickier than his sister ever was.

I just went and got the kids pictures taken and I can't believe how much they have grown!!! I wanted to get Jaxon done for his 3 months (I was a couple weeks late) and than get some taken in their Broncos outfits so I can do something special for Logan for Fathers Day. We came up with the idea to also take some pictures in the bathtub of the kids together and than seperate. I am doing their bathroom in rubber duckies, so the pictures of them in the tub will be hung up in their bathroom. We got some very cute pictures that I just had to share with everybody. Lorens hair looked so stinking cute when I left the house, the little pony tails were all curled. By the time we had reached the studio they were coming un-curled. I look at the pictures and her hair actually looks pretty funny, but all well its her and that cute little smile and attitude that makes the picture, not her hair!

Rolling Over

I can't believe it, Jaxon has rolled over!!!! My little guy is growing so fast. I do think he is going to be doing things quick. If you put him on his belly his little legs and arms try so hard to go. He has this determined look on his face. I think he wants to go and play with his sister very bad!!! When he sees her, his little chubby face just lights right up and he watches her every move. Before I know it, he will be crawling and sitting and than WALKING!!!!! They grow just way too fast!

Jaxons Blessing

WOW! What a day or actually weekend. We had so many friends and family attend the blessing and it was such a special day. My parents and little brother Nate and also our really good friends Hope and Tom came from Tooele and stayed the weekend. Friday night Logan and I met Hope and Tom in town and went to Pizza Hut with Ben & Lisa that was just really fun and relaxing. Saturday we stayed home all day and got all the food and dessert ready for Sunday. Everybody hung out here and just had fun and played the wii. I always get really stressed out when I do these type of things but like always everything went pretty smooth. I was going to stand up and share my testimony on such a special day, but I guess it wasn't meant to be cause Jaxon got hungry and I had to go feed him. Over the last year my testimony had grown more than I could have ever imagined. I and my family have had experiences in our lives that will forever change the way we live our daily lives. As you have read in earlier blogs my Aunt Joann passed away from cancer. For me personally I have had a hard time dealing with that because I was soooo... close to her. She wasn't just an aunt she was like a mom. She would do anything for me and my family. When she finished her last round of chemo she asked me if I thought she should go for more chemo. Out of nowhere I told her "What ever happens now is in the lords hands and we need to see what he has planned for you". When I said that I had an absolutely amazing feeling inside of me. But it is true, we come here to the gorgeous earth with our lives already planned out. I personally believe she went through so much cancer and pain because our heavenly father knew that she was a strong person and would fight with all she had, but he also knew that we would learn and grow from it. I learned to try your very best to treat each family member and friends like it would be their last day. Enjoy every day that you have with the ones you love. I wish so badly I could call her and tell her what Loren or Jaxon are now doing and to just ask "How are you?" But I know she is in a beautiful place and enjoying being with her husband, mother and father. I also knows she sees everything that is going on down here. I had a dream of her the other day and I know she was doing it to let me know she was okay. She looked more amazingly beautiful than I could ever explain. She was in her temple dress and had this amazing glow around her, I hold that memory in my heart every day! But when I told her that God has a plan for us, its made me think about a lot of other things. Some people that read this might get mad at me and thats just fine, cause we all have our own oppinions. I truely think that the whole shots causing autism isn't really true. I think something might set it off but it is already genetically in them. I think it is so that we can learn and grow from that as well. I have a cousin that is deaf. She had got sick as a child and became deaf and from what I believe that was in her life plan. She is an amazing person, mother, wife, sister, daughter, etc. and is a very strong person and its cause god as gave her that will and faith to keep going. The other day I had Jaxon on my lap and I was drinking a pepsi, well of course he was liking the colors of the can so he was trying to get it. I can't believe all in the last few weeks he is really watching my every move, grabbing at so many different things and I even have him laughing now! The other day he almost rolled over, he just couldn't get his fat legs kicked over. They grow so fast, and though you enjoy watching them do all these new things, it is so sad. Loren is starting to put words together and picking up new words everyday! She tries to copy everything anybody is saying, I got a few pictures of Jaxon and the pepsi can, so enjoy!

First Haircut

Last weekend we went to Utah to pick up a truck that my cousin Troy sold us. It was his moms (my Aunt Joanns) so we were way excited. While we were in Utah I decided to get Lorens haircut for the first time EVER! With that baby fine hair, it keeps getting really ratty in the back and it is a pain in the butt. We decided we would just do a little bob cut on her and it turned out so cute. My mom decided to keep her for the week since they are coming out for Jaxons blessing this coming weekend. So when she gets home I will get some more pictures and post them but this is what I got for now.

The State of Nevada will pay for this blood test done on new borns called the PKU. Well its done when they are in the hospital and than when they are 2 weeks. I was a bad mom and just barely got Jaxons done and he is 2 1/2 months. Anyways they have to have the current weight on the sheet they send off, so I had to go to the OB and have him weighed. He was 7 lbs 1 oz when he was born so I was guessing he might be about 10 lbs now. I was WRONG!!!! He weighs 11 lbs 4oz! I couldn't believe it, he is growing so fast, its crazy.

He has the chunkiest thighs and chubby cheeks. His Grandma Penny calls him Pillsbury Dough Boy and I call him my Chunky Dunk.

We are always teasing and saying that Jaxon looks like a little old man. Well tonight I was taking his clothes off and as I took his jacket off all he had on was his pants and a white onesie on. The other night I was trying to make dinner so Logan was taking care of the kids. Well Jaxon is a big momma's boy and Loren is in this major whinney stage, she just needs some extra attention from mom. Anyways, Jaxon cried and cried and Logan was trying everything to calm him down and nothing was working and than Loren got in trouble for trying to climb up on the stove while I was cooking so she started crying and wouldn't stop. So Logan put them both on the couch, side by side and just let them cry. It was so funny cause Loren would look over at Jaxon and than just try to cry harder than he was. I had to get some pictures cause it was too funny. I love my children more than anything but this specific day I could NOT wait till it was bedtime.

In Memory & The Cowboy Poetry

Every year in Elko they hold the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering. Joann was very involved in it and enjoyed everything about it! She met so many wonderful friends and artist while being a volunteer. She did get me and Logan into it a little,though we are not helping this year do to the arrival of our son. Anyways the other day I was in town and went to pick up a packet for my mother n law and this lady Cleo stopped me and said how much she missed seeing Joann and this year just isn't the same with out her. She asked me if I had seen Joanns picture in the program book and I said no cause I'm not volunteering. Cleo told me to go see Vicki up in her office, so when I did Vicki handed me a book and said this is for you. When I got in my car, I read it and I started to bawl!!!!!!!!!! It is so neat that such a big organization recognized such a wonderful woman like this. A few months before Joann passed away I went and spent some time with her and she started crying, saying this is the biggest year of the Cowboy Poetry and she was going to miss it. I said no your not cause I know you will be there in spirit! By the way it is the 25th Anniversary of the Cowboy Poetry. So I wanted to share this with you all along with some pictures we have of her at the gathering.

I absolutely love my life as a mother and wife! I couldn't imagine my life any other way. I am so blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom and raise my children and watch them grow and change in every way possible. As I have said in previous blogs, I was nervous on how Loren would act and treat her little brother. I have not had to worry about her one bit! She is such a wonderful big sister. If or when Jaxon is crying she goes and tries to give him his pacifier if I don't get to him quick enough. She is always trying to kiss him and she will touch him and say "soft". Of course the other day she did sit on him and than accidentally dropped the monitor on his head, but she did say "sorry" and gave him a kiss. Anyways I took some pictures to show how much she loves her brother and also to show how much are little guy is growing. I can't believe he is 2 months old!!

A couple of months ago we got the chance to go to the Salt Lake Temple and be apart of our best friends becoming eternal companions. It was amazing!!!! They were married a year before and to witness that ceremony and than the sealing in the temple was such a cool feeling! When we go to Utah and get together with Hope and Tom we have the most amazing time we laugh till our stomachs hurt and we all understand one another and its awesome. For Christmas this year they gave us a tile that says "Our Family" that I have placed on my mantle and than they gave us some picture of us at the Temple the day they were sealed. Thank You Hope and Tom (Buddy & Princess) for being such good friends!! You 2 are absolutely amazing and we appreciate everything you do for us and our family!! Aisle Surfing

When I was a flight attendant we would do the stupidest but funniest things. We would hide in the overhead bins and have the passenger ring for service and ask the NEW flight attendant to get a coat or something from that overhead bin and as the NEW gal would open the bin we would jump out and scare her. The passengers would get a kick out of it and it was a blast. One time we made fake throw up and had a passenger hold it till we got up in the air and had the drink carts out. We had a NEW, very ANNOYING, flight attendant from Boston trapped between the 2 carts, thats when the passenger handed her the fake throw up and we had her running back and forth for a good 5 minutes trying to get rid of it, it was soooo.... funny, even though she didn't think so. When nobody was on the flight, we would get to sit in the cockpit for the flight and that was the coolest thing ever!!! Just to watch everything they go through, its crazy. And if you ever have a chance, do it! Just never talk to the pilots the first and last 10 minutes, its the most crucial time. Anyways, other times when no one was on the plane but the flight attendants and pilots, we flight attendants would aisle surf! Thats right AISLE SURF. You stand on a card at the front of the plane and as it takes off and starts going in the air you let go of the seat and surf down the aisle. Well one time we had my little digital camera and 3 of us decided to do it at the same time, crazy, I know! Well I was first than my friend Chelsea and than Ashley. Lets just say none of us didn't make it down, but me, and I made it all the way down to the floor. I'll post the video and some pictures. Enjoy but don't laugh to hard

Spagetti Time

When Logan served his mission in Wisconsin, he had a family that was feeding him and his companion dinner one night. When they showed up all that was on the table was plastic wrap. plastic forks & cups and napkins. They took their seats and here came the lady with a pot of spagetti and she threw it in the table and dumped the sauce on top of that. She said "dig in and take what you want and put it in front of you". That was one of Logans most memorable dinners ever. So now when we feed the missionaries that is what we do and they LOVE it and get such a kick out of it. Last night we had them over along with our friends, Ben, Lisa, & Dette. The Elders had fun sitting in Lorens pink chair and eating spagetti and deep fried ice cream. Here are some pictures, the one Elder had fun taking pictures of himself.

Good-Bye 2008, Hello 2009

WOW! What a year it has been. We have had our ups and downs this year. Loren turned 1 in May and started running in June! We found out in late April, early May that we were Pregnant and we had a handsome baby boy Jaxon on Nov 29. We celebrated being in our house for 1 year and we have fixed and changed a lot of things. I was nominated to be the secretary of the girls softball board for Elko and Spring Creek!! Stupid I know. On the downside, I lost somebody very special in my life, my aunt Joann. She passed away from cancer on Nov 14. She was more like a mom than an aunt and I still find my days hard. I want to call her everytime Loren does something new and than I stop and remember I can't. I've had to help her son Troy evict some people from her house out here that she was renting and it was hard because there was kids involved and it was almost Christmas time. Thank goodness they got to stay till after Christmas was over. We had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year and we are really looking forward to what 2009 has in store for us!

We had a really good Christmas this year, as I hope everybody else did as well! This year we stayed at my in-laws (Deron and Penny) on Christmas Eve, along with Brynn, Leaf, Carson and Jilyn. We thought it would be a fun little tradition to begin and we would do it every other year. We had a yummy dinner and stayed up till 1 am playing the Wii. Loren and Jaxon got spoiled between Santa, mom & dad and grandparents. After we were done opening presents we were going to head to Tooele so we could spend Christmas night with my family, but a HUGE storm rolled in and we decided to wait till the next day unless it passed and we felt like we could make it. Well about 2 pm we decided to go for it. Well we made it, it only took us an extra hour, so not to bad. We only seen plows till we got just outside of Wells and we never seen another. While we were over in Utah Logans cousin got married in the Manti temple and had a reception in Spanish Fork. We weren't able to make it to the temple but the reception was very nice and Drew has married a very cute girl named Becky, I wish them so much happiness in their marriage! At the Barrick Christmas Party this year, Logans dad Deron won a XBOX 360. Well that was great and all but we talked him into exchanging it in for a Wii. So Wednesday night Logan and I went over with the kids and played Wii for awhile. Loren hadn't had a nap all day so we headed home around 9:30. She fell asleep in the car and usually she will wake up as soon as you try to get her out. She was like a rag doll last night, she was sooo... tired! I had to get a picture of Logan trying to get her into her PJs.

I'm a little behind on my posts, sorry! I'm still trying to adjust to having 2 kids. Jaxon finally lost his umbilical cord on Tuesday so he finally got a GOOD bath! I was so excited. I can't believe Christmas is almost here and that Jaxon is almost 2 weeks old already. We just went today and got family pictures taken. There are some very precious ones of Loren and Jaxon. Loren really does love her baby brother. She is constantly trying to give him kisses, hugs and any time he cries she lays her head next to his and rubs it. She hasn't shown to much jealousy but there has been a little coming out. Matter of fact, the other day, Jaxon started crying so I picked him up and told him it was okay and started patting his back, well Loren looked at him and than me and she started to pretend cry and laid her head on my shoulder. How Fast They Change...

Jaxon is 1 week old as of today and I can't believe how he has changed in just this week. I like to call him "little squirt" because he is very good at squirting as all you moms with little boys know what I mean. He sleeps well during the day on his own but at night he thinks he needs to be in moms arms. We are working on getting that changed. He is a very good eater and seems to be doing well with his weight. The poor little guy has the cold that we all have had and I feel bad because there isn't much we can do cause he is sooo tiny.

Loren is coming home today and I can't wait! I miss that little stink so much. Our house just hasn't felt quite the same without her here. I am curious on how she is going to do or act with her little brother here. I'm glad Logan is on his 7 days off so that he can help between the two of them. I want to do all I can to show her I still love her just as much as I did before Jaxon and she is not going to be left out.

He has finally arrived!!! Jaxon was born on Nov 29, 2008 weighing in at 7 lbs 1 oz and was 19 3/4inch long. Everything went really well for both mom and baby. Dad is very proud of his baby boy and Loren isn't quite sure what to think of her new brother. She has gave him one kiss and touched his head but thats about it. She wouldn't go near him at first but now she will look and check him out.

Oh boy I think I've started something! On our way back from my aunts funeral we stopped in Tooele and stayed the night. Well I decided to call my best friend Hope to get a pedicure and try to relax a little after such a long week and trip. Well Logan and Loren went with me cause we were going to dinner afterwards. Well I put my feet in the tub and Loren had to hurry and take her socks and shoes off and soak her feet as well. It was soooo... cute! Now I have a feeling if she sees it going on she is always going to have to join!

Relaxation Cut A Little Short

Well my relaxing days were cut short last week. My mom had taken Loren so I could get some rest and also get things done before the baby would come and the first day I was completely alone without Logan or Loren I got a phone call from my mom and was informed that my aunt Joann had passed away. Though it was very hard to hear and accept it was such a blessing. She had been fighting cancer for nearly 5 years. I was very close to her, she was more like a mom to me than just an aunt. I was able to talk and share some of my memories of her at the funeral and I was so happy that I got that oppurtunity. It was a beautiful service with lots of funny stories. Though I miss her more than anything, I know she is with her husband and parents and she is cancer and pain free. I'm posting some pictures of the cemetery and also the luncheon

How do you relax??

My mom is going to meet us in wendover tomorrow and take Loren till next tuesday or wednesday, almost a whole week!! And my mother in law took her with her today so I could get rest and relax. I have to admit I have forgotten how to RELAX!!!!!!!!!! I am here on the computer, writing about nothing, because I don't know what else to do. I think about taking a nap, but I'm not a big nap person. I am very thankful for my mom and mother in law, I just feel lost with out Loren. My mom has been offering to take Loren for awhile, but this last few days have been really hard on me so I've decided to take her up on it. I've been feeling more contractions than I should be at this point. Today they've gotten really bad but I know it has to do with stress and some bad news that I have received. My one aunt Joann isn't doing good at all and than I found out that my aunt Judy is in the hospital and they have confirmed that she has had a heart attack, but they are still running tests to see what else is wrong. I just really hope everything turns out for the best. I just really hope I can learn how to relax the next few days and keep this baby boy in for at least 1 or 2 more weeks. Anybody have any ideas?

Check Up

Well I went to the doctor today for a check up and he said that when I hit my 36 week mark (which is in 12 days) I can go off my medicine and be okay to have the baby!!! When I was pregnant with Loren, they took me off of my meds at 36 weeks and almost exactly a week later I had her. Its weird to think that in 2 to 3 weeks we will see this little guy. I can't wait!!!!!!

The last couple weeks something has really caught my attention and it sends a feeling through me that I just can't explain. As most of you know, Logan works LONG days. He leaves at 5 a.m and doesn't get home till 8:30 p.m. Its hard cause he misses out on a lot with Loren. Anyways I've been trying to keep Loren up so she can see him, even if its only for 10 or 15 minutes. As soon as he walks through that door she yells DAD and goes running to him. She will just started talking to him and laughing. Well for a good 5 or 10 minutes they sit in the kitchen together and just talk. She will help him (she thinks she is helping anyways) put his lunch together for the next day. But when she goes running and talking to him, its like she is telling him all about her day. The look in their eyes and tone in their voice is one of a kind. They are so excited to see each other. Seeing and hearing this go on, sends this chill and feeling through my body that I can not describe. It just makes a perfect ending to a long day. I am so happy to see that since Logan is gone so much for work. I just had to share that.

Lorens Winter Coat

K so my mom got Loren a winter coat last time we were in Utah and it is soooo... stinking cute. Whats funny is Loren is 18 months old and the coat is 12 months and its still a little big on her. Anyways we had to get some pictures of her with it on cause she looks like a little blue and green eskimo. When she has it on and we put her in her carseat all we can do is laugh because the poor thing can't move anything but her eyes. Thats okay cause she is going to be the warmest kid around this winter. Thanks mom for the coat and everything else you do for us. We Love You!!!

Baby Carsons Blessing

Yesterday Logans sister and her husband (Brynn & Leaf ) blessed their baby boy Carson. It was really neat to be apart of the special day. Logan got to stand in on the blessing. Its really funny cause Logan will constantly look at the baby and once in awhile hold him. But when he is looking at him he has a really special look in his eyes. I don't know if he looks at him and thinks about us having a baby boy in the next few weeks or what, but its a special look that he gives Carson. Anyways, after the blessing we went over to Leafs parents house and they had a luncheon for everybody. It was really good to have both families brought together on such a special occasion.

Halloween

WOW, I can't believe Halloween is already over with!! Where did the month go? We had a really good Halloween. Logan had a meeting and wasn't suppose to get done till 5:30 but ended up getting done a little early. He met Loren and I over at his moms house and we left from there and went to see Grandma & Grandpa Rodgers and than went to the Trunk or Treat at the church. Loren didn't mind any of the costumes too much. Every time candy was put in her bucket she would try to put her bucket down and get to the candy so she could eat it. I think she is like her Grandpa Deron and has a major sweet tooth! We only were at the Trunk or Treat for about 30 minutes, thank goodness, since it was sooooo.... cold! Afterwards we went into town and went to the Redlion and had dinner with Logans parents and his sister. We saw some really cool costumes. There was a lady that sat behind us that was a witch and had her face all painted and a big nose on her, Loren did not like that one bit! She kept hiding behind me and peeking over my shoulder, it was really funny. We got home about 9:30 and our wild child, well was WILD!!!!!! I want to thank Grandma Janette for her costume this year. I was soooo... thankful for it. It kept her extra warm.

Doctor Update

Well I went to the doctor yesterday for a check up and things are going okay. I'm still suppose to be on bedrest, which is impossible. We may have a November baby instead of Dec. I was dialated just a little and I'm 65% effaced. As long as I can make it to 35 weeks than I can deliver here in Elko. If I by chance go into Labor before that than they will be flying me to Salt Lake. I'm just glad the baby is doing good and he has a really strong heart beat. He kicks me like crazy. I'll try to get some pictures posted of this big belly this weekend. I want to wish everyone a happy and safe Halloween and don't eat to much candy!!

Loren is getting so funny and makes us laugh often!! The other day Logan and I was on the couch and she was in between us. I told her to go give dad a kiss so she did but right after she would come kiss me. She went back and forth for a good 5 minutes just giving us kisses. And when she kisses her mouth is open so wide that all we can do is laugh. I decided to kiss Logan and see if she would get mad or jealous, basically just to see what response I could get out of her. Well when I pulled away from kissing Logan she grabbed the back of my head and pushed it towards Logan and said "momma". She wanted me to kiss Logan again, and every time I would pull away she would push my head towards him. She is such a goof ball. I want to try and get some pictures of her kissing one of us, because the mouth wide open is priceless!!

I thought I would post some pictures of our trip out to Logans work, Barrick Goldstrike. We got to go out there the end of July to take pictures and video of Family Days and put a DVD together. These are the trucks that Logan works on every day he is out there. I really feel bad for the poor guy. They have a hour long bus ride (one way) and than work 12 hour days. It also takes him about 20 min to get to the bus from our house. He leaves our house at 5 in the morning and doesn't return till 8:20 at night. I guess we need to make a living one way or another, huh. I just couldn't get over how big the dump trucks our. They are the biggest around. We also got a picture of us by a bar of GOLD!!!! Man how I wish I could take that home.

Bed Rest

I'm really trying to figure out how in the heck I am suppose to be on bed rest or even take it easy for that matter. Yesterday was Logans first day back to work since I had went to the hospital. I had nobody around but Loren and me. She was pretty good for the most part. She stayed really entertained for the morning and early afternoon but after her nap she was wild and into everything and seemed to be very demanding. The hard part is I can sit here on the couch but she plays the up and down game and that gets really uncomfortable on me. Lets just say by the time Logan got home, I was soooo.... tired, wore out and hurting. I'm just thankful for naps and bedtimes!! I think I may even take my mom up on taking Loren for a week just to give me some good rest.

Today we thought we better carve our pumpkins since Logan has to work all weekend and only has 1 day off next week before halloween. Lorens is done like Nemo, mine is Buzz Light Year and Logans is a Pirate. We had a lot of fun doing it, it was just really really time consuming especially with having a little one try to help. Logan got really creative and decided to use an electric saw to carve the tops out, What a MAN!!!!

Well I had a doctors appointment today and it went pretty well. They didn't take me off of bedrest of course nor do much about my medicine. They did an ultrasound and I will try to post some pics within the next few days. By our dates I should be about 32 weeks but this little or should I say big guy is measuring around 33 weeks. The doctor said he should be around 8lbs!!! They do think that the reason I may be having contractions is some tests came back showing that I could have Kidney Stones. The thought ran through my head about a week ago but I pushed it aside. So I guess I will just drink lots of water and hopefully get through the next month.

Well the thing we have feared with this pregnancy has come true!! I started having contractions on saturday so went into the hospital and now I am on or suppose to be on full bedrest, blah. I had to spend the night in the hospital and all I could think about is "how am I suppose to be on full bedrest with a 17 month old wild child". Logan works 12 hour days and is gone a total of 15. When he is home he helps tonz!!!! Anyways you might be hearing from me a lot more now that all I can do is sit and try to take care of Loren

Trip to Utah

Well we just got back from a trip to Utah. It was a long trip and it seemed like we were always on the go. We arrived to Utah on Friday and we went to dinner with our friends Hope and Tom at the Elks and than we went and watched the Tooele Homecoming game. My nephew Wade was playing so we thought we would go and support him and our old school. It was sad cause Tooele got there but kicked on their homecoming. On saturday we went to the Salt Lake Temple. Hope and Tom got sealed and asked us to be apart of it and it was so amazing. After the sealing we took some pictures and than we went to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and ate at The Roof. Logan and I had never been and OH MY GOSH... it was sooooo GOOD!! We had a gorgeous view of the temple and a peaceful dinner without a wild child. On sunday we went up to Duchesne and spent some time with my Aunt Joann. She has been fighting cancer for the past 4-5 years and has went through 3 rounds of chemo and 1 round of radiation. She has an infection that has spread completely threw her body and they don't expect her to be here much longer. Its was really hard to see her but it was such a blessing as well. I got some really good pictures of her and Loren and me. (I will post them as soon as I have some time. I'm just glad we got to go and spend a couple of days cause its probably the last time we will see her. When we left Duchesne we stopped by Spanish Fork and spent a couple of hours with my grandma and grandpa Purcell. It was awesome to see them, it had been a whole year!! Time really does fly by. They let Loren pick out a pumpkin so we will be carving that sometime this week.

New Addition

We just added somebody new to the family!! Logans sister Brynn had a handsome baby boy on Sept 23, 2008. They named him Carson Thomas Knotts. He weighed 5lbs 14oz and was 19 inch long. Both mom and baby are doing fine!! Loren got to help hold him and she tried to honk his nose, it was the cutest thing ever!!

Whats going on in our world

Well I decided to try and start this blog deal. I have no idea what I'm doing on here it, so be patient with me. We've had a lot going on in our lives lately. Loren is running circles around me and keeps me soooo... busy!! I'm 29 weeks pregnant and everything is going good. We are so excited to be having a baby boy!! We just redid our firelplace and I'll try to post some pictures (still got to figure that out). We are planning a trip to Utah on Oct 10. Our really good friends Hope and Tom are going to be sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and I am so excited for them and so happy they want us to be a part of their day. I'm just hoping the plans don't fall threw. My aunt that is just like a second mom to me is fighting terminal cancer and we just found out that an infection has spread completely through her body and she just has a matter of a few weeks left. I just went and spent about 4 days with her and I'm so glad I got that chance. My mom was wonderful and kept Loren for me so I could just focuse on my aunt Joann.
